“I often used non-surgical treatments to restore my youthful look, and after I noticed the limited effect of the Botox and fillers, I decided to contact Dr. Mounir and arrange a face-to-face consultation with Dr. Mounir to discuss a Brow Lift in his clinic in Manchester… I am happy with the cosmetic outcome Dr. Mounir has achieved, and I honestly can say that the result is beyond my expectations. Dr. Mounir is an experienced surgeon who works to produce a natural and youthful look.”

The aging process combined with other factors such as sun exposure and genetics always leads to a descent of the eyebrows to a lower position.
Consequently, and naturally, there is an overactivity of the frontalis muscle to elevate the position of the eyebrows. Unfortunately, this will lead to the development of wrinkles. Therefore, the brow lift is designed not only to lift eyebrows to a more natural position but also to treat forehead wrinkles.
The brow lift or the so-called forehead lifting does achieve a more youthful appearance to the eyes and the upper face. Often, Dr. Mounir performs Brow Lift in combination with upper and/or lower blepharoplasty surgery.
The forehead lift or brow lift surgery is the treatment of choice to correct the position of the eyebrow. Often, patients complain about excess skin on the upper eyelids and are actually a good candidate for a Brow Lift in Manchester as this procedure can also treat the excess skin on the upper eyelid without the need to perform an upper blepharoplasty. This does not apply, however, for patients with severe excess skin on the upper lid. You are maybe a good candidate if you are presenting one of these symptoms:
During your initial consultation with Dr. Mounir, he would listen to you to understand your expectations and why you wish to proceed with surgery to rejuvenate your look around the eyes and forehead. After a review of your past medical history, he will conduct a thorough examination of your face. This will include skin quality, bone structure, and muscle movements around the eyelids and the forehead.
Dr. Mounir will meticulously assess your brow and eyebrow position to determine if you are a good candidate for the brow lift or forehead lift surgery or need a combination of different procedures to meet your expectations. Dr. Mounir will make sure that you understand the surgical procedures and all the risks and complications associated with the surgery. Dr. Mounir may suggest some Active FX (fractional laser) to treat the skin if necessary. He will answer all your questions regarding the preoperative steps, the operation, and the aftercare.
The forehead lift or brow lift procedure can be performed using different techniques depending on your cosmetic objectives. Dr. Mounir will discuss each surgical option with you and based on your need, you will decide on the technique that is most suitable for you.
The brow lift surgery may be performed using a traditional technique, known as a coronal brow lift or coronal forehead lift. During the coronal brow lift, a long incision is made across the scalp, within the hairline. Then the skin is lifted down to the brows, the small muscles responsible for the wrinkling are weakened, and the skin is pulled and re-draped upward. Usually, this surgical technique is designed for severe brow sagginess and excessive wrinkling of the forehead.
During the temporal brow lift or forehead lift, two incisions about four to five cm long are created within the hairline. Dr. Mounir usually combines this procedure with a fat transfer technique (autologous fat grafting) or even skin resurfacing (fractional laser) to refresh the skin of the forehead area.
Using limited incisions within the hairline, the endoscopic brow lift uses a video camera and instruments to lift and reposition the forehead skin in a more natural position. The muscles responsible for wrinkles can be released with a special instrument, and the deep tissues are lifted, fixed, and restored to a new position producing a more youthful position.
90 minutes to three hours.
You would need about seven days off work.
You will be able to return to exercise within about three to four weeks.
Usually, the Brow lift is performed with upper blepharoplasty.
For patients seeking aesthetic enhancements to achieve a more youthful look of the entire face, the brow lift or forehead lift could also be combined with a facelift, fat transfer, and fractional laser resurfacing procedures.
Following brow lift or forehead lift surgery with Dr. Abel Mounir at the Manchester Cosmetic Centre, you will be discharged to go home on the same day with an adult who will drive you home.
Swelling and bruising are normal and expected and generally resolve after one to two weeks, although the recovery time will always depend on the person and whether the brow lift or forehead lifting has been combined with other procedures such as upper and/or lower blepharoplasty (eyelid tuck). Dr. Mounir will advise you to use cold compresses to reduce swelling. At your first postoperative review, Dr. Mounir will remove your sutures located within the hairline. Dr. Mounir always expects his patients to take at least seven days off after a brow lift or forehead lifting.
